Ghettin' Out of the Ghetto

The following is from today's Caller Times. It is incidents like this that are forcing me to build up country in Salado.
CORPUS CHRISTI — A man who was about to buy a 1998 Cadillac El Dorado, instead had to call police when the vehicle was struck by gunfire Monday, according to a Corpus Christi police report.

Police said they were called to the 700 block of Quetzal at 11:58 a.m. where the future owner said he heard two shots and saw a man in a red or maroon 1980s Pontiac drive away. The windshield of the vehicle had one bullet hole, police said.

The man told police he was buying the Cadillac from a man who recently moved out of the apartment, but he was not home. Police said they did not locate the Pontiac or the driver.
I used to mow some yards on Quetzal. It used to be a fairly nice residential neighborhood in Flour Bluff.
