Deer Corn Denied

With the start of hunting season upon us, many men will be postponing their honey-do lists in exchange for trips to get hunting supplies, time at the shooting range, or trips to the lease or ranch. Many wives just don't seem to appreciate our fall excursions.A word of advice: Don't give your wife the combination to the gun safe.
CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police took over the 4700 Block of Odem Street Sunday afternoon as a woman barricaded herself inside her home.Hat tip to my wonderful and understanding wife who never gets angry at my mojo purchases, stockpile of ammo, or frequent hunting trips.
Officers say she had a five round pistol with her that she aimed at her husband earlier in the day. Lt. Nancy Lee said, "She shot at him with the pistol, he hid behind the green truck over there, the truck was hit twice."
That's when the husband called police.
As officers arrived they blocked off the street and covered the house at every angle.
Eventually, police called in the SWAT Team to help get the woman out safely.
After about an hour she surrendered, slowly walking out of the home, barefoot and looking confused.
Police say the woman has a history of mental illness and when her husband wanted to run some errands today, she lost it.
Lt. Lee said, "He said he was going to Sun Harvest to buy some corn to feed their deer out on the ranch and apparently she didn't want him to leave. Like I said she's got some mental problems and I guess it was just the last straw or something, I don't know."
The standoff ended peacefully though.
A hostage negotiator got a hold of the woman on her cell phone and talked her out of the home.
It's an ending that eased the anxiety of everyone in this neighborhood, fearing the worst.
Lt. Lee said, "Everybody's fine, looks like we did it without any injuries and no officers injured."
Police arrested the woman and charged her with aggravated assault.
Officers say she may also make a trip to the hospital for a mental evaluation

I Want McNuggets!!!

It seems like everyone wants to act all hard these days.
Check out this nut going psycho because she wanted Chicken McNuggets and could not get them during breakfast hours. Crystal meth must give you hard core munchies.
Hat tip to www.therightscoop.com
A woman in Toledo, Ohio has been indicted for vandalism after going into a rage at a McDonald’s drive up window when employees refused to sell her McNuggets because it was breakfast time (no sound, but you don’t really need it):
She should have waited for the 50 piece Friday night special. McNuggets are good--especially with the sweet-and-sour sauce--but they aren't worth getting arrested over.

Alcoholism At Its Finest

Ahh, weekends in Corpus Christi. I guess this would classify as a "bottoming out" experience.
Woman Stops To Relieve Self, Falls Off JFK Causeway, Corpus Christi Police Say: Husband Flags Down Police To Help After 15-foot Fall
CORPUS CHRISTI — A 42-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Thursday after falling off the JFK Causeway during a bathroom break, Corpus Christi police said.
An officer driving east on the causeway about 1:18 a.m. saw a man frantically pacing next to a car parked on the westbound side of the road.
The 52-year-old man said his 42-year-old wife had fallen more than 15 feet off the side of the bridge.
The man told police his wife had been drinking and asked that he pull the car over so she could relieve herself.
The woman climbed over the railing and fell onto some rocks, landing in about four inches of water, police said.
Officers climbed down to assist the woman and found her unresponsive.
Emergency responders brought the woman back up onto the road using a backboard and a long extension ladder.
She was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Living In Denial

I am not a doctor, but it is obvious to me that our Honorable Speaker is living in a state of clinical denial. Next she will transform back into Super-Catholic and start lecturing us about "the Word."The threat of losing her job is starting to grate on here. Get the straight jacket.
Pelosi Guarantees Dems Will Retain House In November
By Matt DeLong
Earlier this week, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) made a bold prediction about how his party will fare in the November, but House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is kicking the trash-talk up a notch.
In a new fundraising email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Pelosi guarantees in no uncertain terms that Democrats will retain control of the House of Representatives.
Here is what will happen in November: Democrats will keep control of the House. Period.
Pelosi adds that she's got a secret weapon up her sleeve to ensure triumph ... you!

Friends of Obama and Holder--Oh, Brother!
If you watch the video closely, you will see a bi-racial couple and a Mennonite lady walking by. Mennonites are pacifists. The irony is incredible.
Obama's Justice Department dismissed voter intimidation charges on this dangerous man. The lack of public outrage is also disturbing. Hail to the Chief.

Mug Shot Of The Year

How is this for a mug shot? Pretty, ain't he? Fortunately, this is not a Corpus Christi resident.
Convicted Felon Had Pot, Guns Near SchoolHat tip to HotAir.com.
EAST PRICE HILL - A convicted felon was arrested and charged Wednesday with growing a large amount of marijuana inside his home near a school.
Cincinnati police said they also recovered two handguns and a rifle from Robert Prosser’s residence in the 3000 block of Glenway Avenue, which is just around the corner from Rees E. Price School on Considine Avenue in East Price Hill.
Prosser, 49, was booked into the Hamilton County jail just before midnight on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, cultivation of marijuana and illegally having firearms.
In court Thursday, Prosser's attorney said his client is recovering from cancer, possibly alluding that the marijuana was for personal and medicinal use, which is also illegal in Ohio.
The attorney also said that police went through the yard without a search warrant.
The allegation set off Judge Cheryl Grant, who paused and said, "Wait a minute. I signed it."
When Prosser asked the judge if he could speak, Grant fired back sternly, "No."
She ordered Prosser to be held on a $10,000 bond.
A previous felony conviction for a violent offense prohibits him from having guns, according to court documents.
He was growing some 33 marijuana plants inside his home, police said.

"I Think I'll Have Another"
I don't know why, but I have empathy for this guy. He hit a rough patch in his life and unfortunately he drove after drinking. I guess he figured he was in trouble and said, "What the heck, I guess I'll have another beer." Thank goodness no one was hurt.
Trapped Drunk Driver Opens Another Beer As Awaits Rescue
AUCKLAND (Reuters) - A drunk driver trapped after overturning his car cracked open another can of beer while he waited for emergency crews to rescue him, a New Zealand court was told.
Paul Nigel Sneddon, 47, pleaded guilty to careless driving and drunken driving after being nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit in a district court in the city of Palmerston North, the Dominion Post newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Police found Sneddon, a former baker, trapped in his overturned Ford Laser on June 1, drinking a can of beer after he failed to take a corner properly and crashed through a wooden barrier, flipping his vehicle.
Defense lawyer Peter Young said that when Sneddon found he could not open the doors, "he had nothing else to do at that point, so he had another beer."
When asked by police how much he had consumed, Sneddon replied: "Plenty, I've been drinking for four days straight."
Sneddon, who is estranged from his wife, told the Wellington- based newspaper that he went on a drinking binge after losing his job at a bakery on the same day that he heard his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Judge Gregory Ross fined him NZ$1,100 (US$780) and disqualified him from driving for 10 months. It was his first offence.

Congressman Etheridge (D-NC) Goes Berzerk
Blue Dog Democats who have been kowtowing to Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Waxman and Co. are getting a little irritable as the November elections approach. As the Bible teaches, "a man reaps what he sows." So it will be for our Southern "moderate" democrats who talk conservative at home during election time but head to Washington and support the liberal agenda time and time again.

Drunk Woman Takes Car On A General Lee Over Toll Booth
The below picture is of our wanna-be Bo Duke. All she needs is the rebel flag and a horn that plays "Dixie". INSANITY!!!
Jalopnik has some good commentary. Here is some of it:Thanks to the police report, posted by The Dallas Observer, we've now learned a lot more about the incident and Yasmine Audia Villasana, the driver of the car.To read it all, just click on the blog post title or copy and paste this: http://jalopnik.com/5555533/this-is-the-woman-who-launched-her-car-over-a-toll-booth
When police approached the car after the accident, Villasana told them she was rear-ended, which caused her car to shoot over the tollbooth and catch on fire. This was easily contradicted by the 123 feet of skid marks in front of the booth, the lack of any damage to the rear of her car, and the video tape from the security camera.
The police report also notes she kept trying to get back in the car while it was on fire.
Given these clues, the police asked her if she'd been drinking. Villasana informed them she'd had a vodka and cranberry juice the night before, but nothing prior to the crash. After a visual test and a breathalyzer, she was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
