Great news for Baylor! Interesting move to see the search committees move outside Baptist circles for the selection. Several questions immediately come to mind: 1)Is Baylor jettisoning its historical Baptist heritage in exchange for a modern 21st century-postmodern-evangelical-Republican-political-thingy? 2)How will the faculty in some of the more progressive departments of the University respond? 3)How will fundamentalist Baptists respond? 4)Will Baylor now run a west coast offense? 5)Will Bill and/or Hillary Clinton ever visit BU? 6)How many conservative Churches of Christ will disfellowship Ken? Exciting times for my BU friends and family!
